Powdered Sugar Glaze

This powdered sugar glaze is simple to make and use. It is great for decorating cookies and works equally as well for decorating other pastries or desserts.

Because the powdered sugar glaze does not set up as hard as say a Royal Icing, we do not use the product when we are stacking or shipping cookies.

Substituting lemon juice for the water turns this glaze into a wonderfully lemon frosting that you will want to eat right out of the bowl.


  • 2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 Tbs Water
  • 1/2 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract


Place ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth

Add more water or powdered sugar to thin or thicken the mixture
